The Difference Between All-on-4 and All-on-6 Implants

The "All-on" implant protocol is the modern miracle for toothless patients. But you will frequently see clinics offering both All-on-4 and All-on-6 options. Which one do you actually need?

All-on-4: The Standard of Care

Invented by Nobel Biocare, this involves 4 implants. The back two are tilted up to 45 degrees, which avoids major nerves in the lower jaw and the sinus cavities in the upper jaw. It is perfect for patients with moderate bone loss.

All-on-6: Maximum Stability

By adding two extra implants, the biting forces are distributed over six pillars instead of four. This is highly recommended for patients who have large jaws, a heavy bite force, or possess excellent bone volume that does not necessitate tilting the implants.

The choice is purely clinical, not financial. During your CBCT scan, our Chief Surgeon will analyze your bone density and recommend the exact biomechanical architecture tailored for your unique skull shape.
